NJA-Nepal organized a three month Basic Judicial Training (BaJuT-I) for 48 newly appointed Class III Officers of Nepal Judicial Service. The major objectives of Basic Judicial Training (BaJuT-1) was to make them familiar with the various disciplines of the judicial service and their responsibilities, to discuss the probable challenges and their solutions to execute their prospective solutions so as to work with uniformity, to elucidate the legal provisions and its practical implementation and to advance a positive attitude and thinking regarding their professional duty and public service. The inauguration program of BaJuT-I was held at the premises of the Supreme Court on November 8, 2016. Rt. Hon'ble Chief Justice Sushila Karki was the Chief Guest.
BaJuT I covered different subject areas require for personal and professional life of officers. The participants were provided an opportunity to be trained at National Police Academy, Maharajgunj. As a part of learning about own country, participants were divided into two groups and sent for a visit in eastern and western part of the country for a week.
To make area focused training, participants were divided into three groups as per their service group. The law group was sent to Judicial Service Training Center, the Government Attorney group was sent to Prosecution Training Center and the judicial group was trained at NJA-Nepal itself. In the training, distinguished personalities were also invited to share their experiences with participants. Presentation skills along with extracurricular activities have been focused in the training program.
In the closing session, Rt. Hon'ble Chief Justice Karki extended congratulations to the participants and directed the participants to be honest and hardworking through out their processional life. Other members of Executive Committee of NJA Nepal had also delivered congratulatory remarks to the graduated participants in BaJuT I. At the end, Hon'ble Executive Director Keshari Raj Pandit, from the chair, delivered a vote of thanks with his closing remarks. The BaJuT-I was ended on February 5, 2017.
