National Judicial Academy, in collaboration with International Commission of Jurists, Nepal organized a talk program on issues and Challenges of Judicial Reforms in Asia on 20 December 2011 at the Academy's training Hall, Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur, Nepal. The key speaker of the program was Dr. Livingston Armytage, Director, Center for Judicial Studies from Australia. Honorable Justice Kalyan Shrestha, Supreme Court of Nepal presided over the program. The objective of the talk program was to share the experiences of judicial reform process from the region and learn the best practices to have successful reform in Nepal.
The talk program began with registration of the participants at around 3:30 pm. Judges of Court of Appeal Patan, Judges of Kathmandu Valley District Courts, Senior Judicial Officials, Senior Prosecutors, Professors, Lawyers and other professional attended the program. There were altogether 90 participants participated in the program. Honorable Judge Mr. Til Prasad Shtrestha, Faculty Member at the NJA conducted the program.
